What the price covers
$19 is the introductory price while Pear 3 is new. It will rise to $29. Your licence does not expire and includes every Pear 3.x update.
If a Pear 4 is released, it will be a separate purchase at a discount for existing owners. Pear 3 keeps working.
Tax
Prices are in US dollars and exclude VAT or sales tax, which is calculated at checkout where it applies. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com, which is the Merchant of Record for all orders.
Free trial
Pear runs with every feature for fourteen days. No card, no email, no sign-up. The trial starts the first time you open the app.
When it ends, the tools stop until you enter a licence. Anything you created stays accessible: scratchpad notes, shelf items and saved screenshots.

Questions
How many Macs can I use one licence on?
Any Mac you own or personally use. One licence per person, not per machine. Your licence carries your email address, so please do not pass it on.
Does Pear need an internet connection?
No. Licences are signed files verified on your Mac. There is no activation server to reach.
Can I get a refund?
Yes, within fourteen days, without giving a reason. See the refund policy.
What about the cleanup, disk and stats tools?
Those come from pear, a separate command-line tool that is
free and open source under the GPL-3.0. Install it and those tiles work.
Without it, the rest of the app is unaffected.
What data leaves my Mac?
Nothing from your work. The app has no analytics and no server of ours to reach. See the privacy policy.
