What the price covers
$19 is the introductory price while Pear 3 is new. It will rise to $29. Your license does not expire and includes every Pear 3.x update.
If a Pear 4 is released, it will be a separate purchase at a discount for existing owners. Pear 3 keeps working.
Tax
Prices are in US dollars and exclude VAT or sales tax, which is calculated at checkout where it applies. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com, which is the Merchant of Record for all orders.
Free trial
Pear runs with every feature for fourteen days. No card, no email, no sign-up. The trial starts the first time you open the app.
When it ends, the tools stop until you enter a license. Anything you created stays accessible: scratchpad notes, shelf items and saved screenshots.

Questions
How many Macs can I use one license on?
Any Mac you own or personally use. One license per person, not per machine. Your license carries your email address, so please do not pass it on.
Does Pear need an internet connection?
No. Licenses are signed files verified on your Mac. There is no activation server to reach.
Can I get a refund?
Yes, within fourteen days, without giving a reason. See the refund policy.
Does Pear clean or optimise my Mac?
No. Pear is a capture and desktop utility. It has no cleanup or maintenance feature, and it does not scan your Mac for "problems". Its disk view is a read-only map of what is using space, and anything you choose to remove from it goes to the Trash.
What data leaves my Mac?
Nothing from your work. The app has no analytics and no server of ours to reach. See the privacy policy.
