- Background removalCut the subject out of an image, on your Mac. High-quality mode handles hair and fine edges.

- On-device, always
- Text recognition, background removal and QR scanning run on your Mac with Apple’s Vision framework. Nothing gets uploaded.
- No accounts, no telemetry
- Nothing to sign into, and nothing phones home. Pear does not collect anything about you.
- Signed and notarized
- Every build is signed with a Developer ID and notarized by Apple before it goes out.
- Quiet updates
- Pear updates itself over Sparkle from a signed feed, the same way plenty of trusted Mac apps do.
